T-301 Days: Feeling Whatever....

I am not usually a very organised person but i seem to be able to do things well if i have a list of things i should look out for. Being someone that can even mistook her flight dates wrongly, i learnt my lesson well. I have started marking dates on my Iphone calendar, filing up receipts and contracts, records of payment dates and miscellaneous finances on my excel (thanks to my excel course in school - i get to use my skills lol) and of course keeping my common sense in check via this blog. Looks like i am on the road to be the most organised BTB in the world. Nah.

In turn, there's so many things that has been pissing me off on my side lately. Yeah, yeah...wedding woes. Still, my money - my way. Whatever it is - fortunately i have got a few thing settled. I have a few beautiful friends paying some of my little things - which i am so very thankful, Alhamdullilah.

I still have to think about some of the things that i might need to consider and get also get done such as:

  • sanding venue
  • nikah venue (still a big question mark as we have a time constraint)
  • henna artist
  • bridesmaid outfits
  • sealing the deal with our preferred photographer
  • wedding cake (at first, i thought it wasn't necessary - but its not on my expenses)
  • agreeing on the Hantaran money (i have a question, whose money does this belongs to anyway...)
  • the wedding ring
  • berkat
  • family outfits 
  • marriage course
  • house hunting
  • honeymoon destination
  • vendors meeting
  • wedding card confirmation
  • the merisik (do we really have to do this?)
  • register marriage 150 days before event date
At the moment, this is all i could think of. I prefer to finish up my list as soon as possible to avoid stress. Oh, i will share about my venue experiences soon.....not now. I am suddenly not psyche anymore and feeling so malas nak layan bende wedding ni semua. I shall stop here before i start hurling mean words on this public space. Mane tau ade hard core stalker.

Prologue

Is this really happening? Well, yup. I actually created a blog for the sole purpose of sharing my experiences as a BTB. Prior Progression

Its less than a year till the big day. I have got almost 60% of the things in my checklist done. I am not sure how to feel at the moment and hope everything will go smoothly until THE day. K & I have known each other for almost a decade and we made a promise to each other that we will get married in 2018. He even scribbled it on his wardrobe but too bad its already thrown away. Oh my dear child, this is what stupid promises made you do.  That.....was almost a decade ago.  We were teenage sweethearts but we don't really know where this whole thing is going. Whatever it is - it takes a lot for us to get where we are especially when mixed feelings, ambitions and goals are awfully involved during our young adult years. We make mistakes, we cry, we laugh - its all part and parcel of life. It feels like we got this sorted through it all and eventually like people say,"Kalau jodoh, tak kemana." A large amount of time has been invested and my conscience is at peace now, ...
